Catbalogan City, Samar- A 37-year-old man known to authorities as alias “Bambe” was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Catbalogan City Police Station Special Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Samar. ? ?
The operation took place around 2:11 p.m. on November 11, 2025, in Purok 7, Barangay Canlapwas, Catbalogan City.
The suspect, a jobless resident of the same barangay, was identified as a street-level drug personality. ? ?
Recovered from the suspect were approximately 2.55 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of ?17,340.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of PLTCOL Norman D. Ala, Acting Chief of Police. ? ?Authorities said the suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrested person is currently detained at the Catbalogan City Police Station while the seized evidence has been turned over for laboratory examination.(CJ/jmm/DMJ)
