Since 1995, he has been participating in group exhibitions and received numerous awards. Aris is the founder of the Eastern Visayas Young Visual Artists Association also known as BAGHID. He is also an active meber of the Antipolo Visual Arts Incorporation. He worked as a Senior High School teacher at the Calbayog Art and Design School of Eastern Visayas.
