Two individuals - male and female - fell to police officers in a drug buy bust operations past 10AM, July 22, 2025 in Barangay Capoocan, Calbayog City.
The subjects were identified as “Alyas Gelo” and “Alyas Zel” who were both under close observation by Calbayog City Police for quite sometime already having been reported to be active in the drug trade in the city.
According to reports from the neighborhood, both of the subjects have previously been arrested for similar acts.
One sachet of suspected shabu was first seized from one of the suspects. Three additional sachets were also found among other drug paraphernalia.
Both subjects, who will be charged of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now in the custody of Calbayog City Police.
The PNP encourages the public to continuously coordinate with authorities and relay information on illegal activities in their community.
The drug buy-bust operation is part of the continued campaign of the PNP against prohibited and dangerous drugs.(CJ/JMM/ir)
