HOW IS YOUR HEART?

HOW IS YOUR HEART?
This year's love month is another milestone for many. . .a chasing season for some hopeless romantic. . .but to a few might also be meaningless.

People, regardless of status, celebrate the love month with zest. To those engaged, happily married to their ever after, engaged and "taken" --- it's an ultimate time to express their boundless love for each other.

In my younger years I recall receiving American red roses, Tulips, Cadbury and Lindt mint chocolates. . .treated to a candle-lit-eight-course-dinner in a fine dining restaurant and a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne to share while an Italian violinist played his heart out with timeless love songs. It was surely a pretty expensive date. . .something a couple can look forward each time St.Valentine’s Day is celebrated.

For the less privileged, there are other ways of expressing and celebrating love.

Today, society embraced other types of relationships such as "it's complicated," “single,” “divorced,” “single again” and even the “singled out” and “the ghosted,” the “widow” and the “widower” or even a “third wheel” has the right to celebrate one's heart to fall in love in different ways.
As the "modern day marites" continues to be around, there is no denying that love indeed is in the air. It is the season to express love for a partner, spouse, family, community and friends alike.

What about self love? Does loving yourself make you a narcissist?

As there are countless definitions of love, let's us not forget the highest form of love: God's love for man, and a man's love for God!

1Corinthians 13:13: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.
