FIRST SEARCH FOR MISS STA. MARGARITA LAUNCHED

STA. MARGARITA, SAMAR – The local government of the municipality has launched its first “Search for Miss Sta. Margarita” with thirteen beauteous and vibrant young ladies competing for the Miss Sta. Margarita 2016 crown.

Before being named as an official candidate, the applicants have gone thru a series of screening process that included a background check to meet, first and foremost, the qualification of having ancestries in Sta. Margarita.

Assigned organizer, Mr. Antonieto Cabueños, Jr. informed the Calbayog Journal that only thirteen or 76.5% of the applicants made it to the pageant as official candidates after a preliminary interview by a panel composed of seven (7) judges who based screening on beauty of the face, poise and projection as well as intelligence.

All of the applicants may have passed the categories in judging, but those who did not make it were found to have no roots in any of the barangays in the municipality, Cabueños added.

The candidates will be rated in their “alimango” costume, casual dress, evening gown, swimwear and intelligence during the pageant night on July 20, 2016 at the Municipal Covered Court.
