VP LENI PAYS TRIBUTE TO FILIPINO WORKERS, SAYS SHE WILL WORK AS HARD AS THEY DO TO IMPROVE EVERYONES LIVES
On Labor Day, May 1, Vice President Leni Robredo recognized and paid tribute to Filipino workers all over the nation.

Currently, the labor sector remains disadvantaged, with groups continuing to fight for the rights of all workers, pushing for wage increases, and seeking to halt endo or end of contract.

At the event, Robredo promised the audience that if elected, her administration will address the issues and needs of the labor force, specifically through her Hanapbuhay Para sa Lahat program.

Tututukan natin ang mga industriya kung saan malaki ‘yung potensyal natin,” she said, pointing out the maritime, agriculture, tech, and manufacturing industries.

The Vice President said a Robredo presidency will focus on the proper enforcement of labor laws and policies, the creation of a public employment program, and the strengthening of different sectors in the country, among others. She also promised to hold regular dialogues with them to listen to their concerns.

"Maaasahan niyo po na parati tayong handang makinig, makipag-usap, at makipagtulungan,"she said.

She called on the sector to join her and work together to improve everyone’s lives.

“Ang pag-angat ng buhay natin, nasa kamay nating lahat,” she said.
