FOURTEEN BEAUTIES COMPETE FOR MS. HADANG/RITUAL QUEEN 2017

CALBAYOG CITY – Fourteen young ladies representing different ritual contingents qualify as candidates to the 2017 Ms. Hadang/Ritual Crown in the 21st Sarakiki Hadang Festival which will be celebrated at the City Arts and Culture Office (CACO) Theater in Nijaga Park.

Ms. Anne Marie T. Versoza is the reigning Hadang/Ritual Queen. She is the pride of Calbayog City National High School (CCNHS) whose ritual contingent is also the champion of hadang/ritual competition in 2016. She will bequeath the throne to one of the fourteen candidates this year.

Each of the candidates will first be introduced when the contingents they respectively represent perform during the Hadang/Ritual Competition on September 01. Clad in their individual hadang/ritual costumes during the performance, the ladies will be rated for grace and projection in carrying their attires. The score they earn will comprise 10% of the total points.

During the pageant night, on September 02, the candidates will work their way out for 90% of the competition’s weight – Intelligence which is 20% of the total score will depend on the candidate’s ability to express herself and defend her beliefs during an interview or what is popularly known as the question-and-answer portion; 45% for poise and elegance comprises the candidate’s poise, confidence and elegance in carrying the casual wear, gown and the hadang festival costume; and beauty of the face is 25%.

CACO, in their facebook page, also launched a quest for the PEOPLE’S CHOICE requiring one (1) LIKE on and one (1) SHARE of a candidate’s original picture (at the CACO facebook page only) to make ONE POINT for a chosen candidate.
